Another wedding with a bit of an international feel to it, well ok not really, but Scott and Victoria had come up from Blackpool for this!

The newly refurbished County Hotel in Dalkeith was the Location for this Wedding. As is often the case with some venues despite having a lovley room set aside for the ceremony photographing somewhere when it’s packed with people is really difficult and you don’t really want to wander down the aisle mouthing excuse me and taking up position standing behind the celebrant so you can get a good shot! There are a few things you can do to alleviate this but I’m not going to give away all of my secrets in this blog.

Problems aside it was a lovely warm and sunny day, we also had the use of the grounds of the St Nicholas Buccleuch Parish Church straight across the road for the group shots and portraits which gave me a stunning setting to work with.

One of the more unique things I’ve seen was Scott and Victoria breaking off during the speeches to go round the tables greet all of the guests and hand round silver sixpences as a gesture of Love and togetherness also to make sure that they spent some time with everyone, the bride also had a sixpence in her shoe. A really nice touch for a really special day.
