Lauren and Tom – Mansfield Traquair 29-03-15

Bit of an international one this.

Third event in a row after Leanne and Wes’s day and Charlie’s hen do. Three days of photography may seem like hard work but it was fantastic to get so submerged in what I love to do. There is a certain thrill for me in doing a shoot and having the adrenaline rush that makes you want to look at all of the pictures as soon as you get back to download, then getting back up and doing the same thing the next day.

Anyway this aside, Lauren and Tom were a lovely couple from New Zealand that apart from Skype I’d only met in person a couple of days before the ceremony.

The venue itself is stunning – a Catholic Apostolic church consecrated in 1876 with murals depicting the old and New Testament painted by Phoebe Anna Traquair over an 8 year period completed in 1901. It is referred to as Edinburgh’s Sistine chapel.

It’s a wonderful venue that I would highly recommend and would love the chance to photograph there again.
